An interview with our new starters!

Our newest team members; Sonya and Emily joined our team at the beginning of March and are currently going through their initial training. Here are some of the things they had to say about their first 2 weeks at Rapid:

How did you find your first two weeks at Rapid?

Sonya: I really enjoyed my first two weeks at Rapid Travel Group. Everyone has been really friendly and helpful. It’s been nice having everyone at HQ for my training so I can meet everyone in person. It’s also been very helpful training with the whole team as everyone has new tips to show you. It’s been really interesting to see how everyone has a slightly different way of doing the searches, so I feel like I’ve learnt a lot so far.

Emily: I’ve enjoyed my first few weeks. Kerry has been really helpful and the training has been really good, I feel like I understand everything that has been said. It was a really nice treat to have afternoon tea one day in my second week at Rapid. Everyone enjoyed it and it meant that we all had our dinner together.

So far, what is your favourite part of the job?

Sonya: I absolutely love the challenge of matching accommodation to requests. The searches are really interesting and finding something perfect for every client is very satisfying. It’s also been nice getting to know some of the most regular clients.

Emily: It’s satisfying finding something that is just what I’m looking for, especially when the client has quite a few requirements. Feeling like you’ve truly helped the client is always a bonus.

What has been the most challenging thing to learn?

Sonya: I haven’t found anything challenging as the information and training available are very thorough. Kerry, Linda, Natalie and everyone else who helped with my training have made it really straightforward.

Emily: At first, the invoice training was a lot to get my head around. Being a bit different with every supplier made it a lot to learn, but it’s becoming easier everyday.
