Our Favourite Towns And Cities To Work In When Traveling For Business

Traveling all over the UK to source business accommodation means we get to experience the very best our wonderful little island has to offer.

So, we thought we’d share three of our favourite places to visit on business. First up:

BIRMINGHAM – It might seem like a weird choice this one (unless you live in Birmingham), but here at Rapid Travel Group we have a soft spot for the heart of the West Midlands. Reason being: our Linda and Rebecca have attended a fair few conferences at the NEC in their time and spent many a night in the city after getting to know our clients and building new relationships.

You’re always guaranteed a good curry in the ‘Balti triangle’ and you can’t beat a walk around the old industrial canals, which we think have a wonderful charm. And of course you’ve got the people and the accent, which all adds to the fun of being in Brum.

CLEETHORPES – Come on, we couldn’t help it. Being based on the Lincolnshire coast means we get to spend a fair old bit of time beside the sea in sometimes-sunny Cleethorpes. In fact, when the sun is out and the promenade is buzzing with activity, we’d challenge you to find a brighter, more fun place to visit.

Recently, in fact, we’ve seen a lot of investment in the town with all new kinds of businesses popping up. From small, independent local ones to big name firms like Orsted and Engie bringing more business and investment to the area. We might be biased, but we love it.

LONDON – The old capital had to get in there, didn’t it? It’s still one of the most vibrant and bustling centres of the UK and, well, the world. It’s one of the best-connected cities in our country and almost every business we work with has some dealings with the city in some way, so there’s always an opportunity to network and reach new people when you’re visiting.

As for downtime, the city offers the business traveller almost any extra-curricular activity they can think of. Whether it’s braving a walk up over the Millennium Dome or enjoying a slap-up meal in one of the many Michelin-starred restaurants (though our Karl personally likes eating at Hawksmoor when he’s in town), there’s always something for you to do, to make sure your time on the road whizzes by.

But wherever you’re staying – be it Birmingham, Cleethorpes, London or somewhere less well known – you can be sure that we’ll find you the best deal on your accommodation.

We go to great lengths to source the best rooms at the best prices wherever you’re staying. And when it comes to keeping you entertained in a new town or city, our travel assistants are always on hand 24/7 with advice and recommendations.
